Mary Ann
My name is Rob McDaniels, I am a Marine Staff sergeant stationed with GySgt
Allen Gibson in Iraq.  I just wanted to take the time to write you a quick note saying
thank you, for the packages you sent us. They are very much appreciated.  I was
in the market for a new pair of socks or two and your generous packages saved
me.  We divided out all the goodies you and the other members of your
organization sent us and we are not eating and, drinking apple cider, and most
importantly, SMILING.  The effect your packages have on moral here is unreal.
Well I have to get back to it. Thank you very much for the support.

SUBJECT:  A GRATEFUL SOLDIER

HI, there my name is Dustin Bigelow and I'm a Soldier in Iraq.  Your Packages of
Gratitude were sent to a fellow soldier in my platoon and everyone loved the
packages. Especially the warm hats that were sent in the box's. I want to thank you
for those wonderful gifts that you gave to us .That is sort of the reason for this
email. To say thank you so very much and me and other guys were wondering if it
was possible to get some more hats. There wasn't enough to go around. They are
a huge hit with the weather getting colder at night. If this is possible, please email
back. Thank you, again for everything and Happy
Thanksgiving!
Dustin Bigelow

Mary Ann
Greetings from Iraq! First let me say thank you for the are packages.  My Soldiers and I really appreciate your efforts
and can't express our gratitude enough.  In al my 20 Soldiers received the boxes today.  We thought you did a great
job ensuing the package had an excellent assortment of "goodies" and essentials.  I especially enjoyed the "trail mix" (I
have to admit that I traded my chili for one of the other guy's "trail mix") I truly appreciate the efforts of folks like you
and can't put into words my thanks  Please pass along my sincere "thank you" to all of your organization, your
husband John, and all your supporters.  Knowing that there are people back home like you make it a little easier to go
out and do our jobs.  Although we are away from our friends and families we now we are making a difference.  You may
not get to see or hear much of the good that we are doing, but rest assured
our Soldiers are making a positive impact
everyday.
In closing I would like to say thank you very much for your efforts in making us feel appreciated.

Sincerely,
SgtMj. Michael Patarini, 25th INF DIV

Mary Ann,
I just received one of your lovely packages and I waned to write and say thank you.  With all of the negative press that
we alway get, it is nice to know that there really are people out there who support what we are doing.  I personally
believe that we are doing the right thing here.  Of course we have made many mistakes, especially in the planning and
forethought department, but if we do not send a message to these people that the United States is willing to protect its
people and free citizens thought the world, then the terrorists would continue to grow bolder and will continue to attack
us on our sovereign soil. It makes me sad that people constantly bas our Commander in Chief, because i think he is
going the best job he can under the circumstances.  Of course it is
our job to protect the "right to free speech" of our
people, but when people speak out against this war, it is evident to me that they do not understand that we are fighting
for the very right of the United Sates to exist.  The people who have attached us do not even try to hide that the ultimate
goal is to wipe the United States off the map.  This is a very messy situation here and his been for more than 2000
years.
So anyway, sorry for my little diatribe, but I tend to get a little worked up about certain things like the right of my Country
to exist.  A little about me.  I am a nuclear trained Surface Warfare Office in the Navy, which means that I am one of the
engineers who run the nuclear propulsion plants on our aircraft carriers.  I was on shore duty in ........ and volunteered
for one of the many requests we get that are asking for people to go to Iraq to help with the fight.  I am currently helping
to get the oil and electricity flowing for the people of Iraq.  Hopefully this will help stabilize the situation over here if we
can get things moving.
Thank you again for taking the time and effort to show us that you are.  That means more to us than anything material
that you could send

Ms. Cordova,
God Bless you and thanks for your continued support
of deployed military soldiers.  Your help is greatly
appreciated, the troops receiving the packages, and
the families who can't financially provide for the
soldiers, and the command who ares about their
soldiers well-being.  It's an honor to have such a
program especially created for the care of deployed
soldiers.

Ma'm,
My name is Chris Doerrer.  I'm currently based in Iraq along
with Tsgt. Dolar.  We recently received your packages (you
should have seen everyone staring when we came out of
the mail room) and they're great.  As soon as we opened
the first box, it was obvious someone put thought into what
should go into each one. Personally I like the Taco Bell hot
sauce....huge spice fan and the mouth was (took care of
the hot sauce breath).  The sock's were nice too, seems
like something a Mother would send! It's nice to know that
there are people out there support us and I can't tell you
how thankful I/We are for what you're doing.

Ma'am,
I'm neither sure how much feedback you receive, nor sure
how much traffic you get on your website.  My feeling is that
is it probably a lower percentage than it out to be
considering the packages, time, and effort you put into your
program.
In any event, I would like to thank you for the many grateful
Marines of Regimental Combat Team -7 who quickly
devoured the packages they received from your recently.
You can rest assured that your contributions to the men
and women serving in Iraq are greatly appreciated even if
the many who benefit from your generosity do not
necessarily take the time to thank you personally. I can tell
some must, because the items of the packages seemed
well suited to the daily and weekly needs of the Marines.
Thank you again for taking the time to organize, shop,
package, and ship these Packages of Gratitude.
Like I have told some of the civilians I have met, you are
paying your taxes and therefore paying us, so extra efforts
like these are truly extraordinary.
Thanks again,
Maj. S.J. Kinner, USMC

Mary Ann,
Thank you so much! I had just gotten back from my
R & R leave to the states, and there was a package
waiting for me! I'm not sure how many letters you
get back for all the packages you send, though I
wanted to be sure you know that you were
appreciated.
Being back in the states, I can see how easy it is to
forget about the larger world around us.  I thank you
from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to
look beyond the everyday life you lead to support
troops so far from home, so far out of sight.
